Hi,

I want to upgrade MP from 1.02 to 1.1 beta. Now I installed this awesome plugin to make life easier. This install went fine. But I'm not able to enable the plugin. It is listed in the mediaportal configuration > plugins > tab MP installer
But its not listed as grey in the tab Plugins.
When I try to reinstall or install it says "extension already installed, continue?"

What happened?

My other plugins ore installing and working ok..

Thanks in advance,

Wijnand
You find it in tvserver-configurations plugin-section

Problems installing on spanish XP

Hi:

I can't install BackupSettings v1.0.0.2 or v1.0.3.1; over MP 1.1 Alpha or Beta; in Windows XP (Spanish language).
When I try to install it, this give me NOT_DEFINED error on "Media Portal User Folder" and "TV Server User Folder"

This work perfectly when I tried changing MP 1.0.2 or Vista, but I need XP in my oldest cpu

:D

:sorry: by my english:oops:

Radpi, you can manually select the MediaPortal User and Tv Server user folder by clicking at the ... button on the installer. You will need to select those manually also the first time when you start BackupSettings. Can you post the directory folder where you have stored those folders? I would like to understand why the autodetection routine did not catch it.
P.S. Your English is great.

    Hi Huha:

    Thank you for your response:

I try to look for the folder but even it does not work.
Now I see that probably the problem is that the name of the path is too long, since when I look for it, it makes it incomplete.
The complete path where it is, is:

    "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Datos de programa\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal"

RADPI, the path should not be too long. Can you post the image of the install window after manual selection of "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Datos de programa\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal" like animale81 did?

Animale81, can you post the following information: How many Tv cards do you have in your <backupfolder>\TV_User\Tvsettings.xml file. Open it with any text editor and search for <cards>. How many TV cards does your actual configuration have? Look in the TVserver configuration at TV Servers -> <your computername>. How many cards are shown here?

    RADPI,
I believe the issue is that the TV server program folder was not defined. I believe it should be C:\Archivos de programa\TeamMediaPortal\MediaPortal Tv Server. In this folder you should find TvService.exe. So your complete path setting should be:

MediaPortal Program Folder (Base): C:\Archivos de programa\TeamMediaPortal\MediaPortal
    MediaPortal User Folder (Config): C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Datos de programa\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal
TV Server Program Folder (Base): C:\Archivos de programa\TeamMediaPortal\MediaPortal Tv Server
TV Server User Folder (Config): C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Datos de programa\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server

Just learned my first Spanish words:).

Before you try this i would like to ask you to help me with an English translation of your complete exception message "No se pudo econtrar el archivo .....

When you start backupSettings for the first time you will be asked by the program again for those directories

    Animale81,
from your posting i saw that the definition of hybrid cards is resulting in a numbering of TV cards not starting with 1. I believe this is causing the issue. Please try to label the TV cards in Tvsettings.xml from 1 to 6 and try again. I will address this issue in my next version.
