Black Glass Skin 1.7.0 (2 Viewers)

The skin is developed on Vista with Mediaportal 1.0.2 and tested on XP, Vista and Seven.
I'm testing it on Mediaportal 1.1 beta and it works well.
The resolution is 1280x720 and scales well to full HD.

Black Glass skin is designed to be easy to use and has a simple and clear look.
It should be controlled primarily with a remote or a keyboard.

BasicHome screen should be used as default home page.

The skin has been developed using Theatre as layout inspiration and Blue3Wide as codebase, so unsupported plugins should work with Bluewide plugin skin files (apart from some graphical anomalies).

• One major issue I could not resolve: when displaying playlists, the backgrounds of the items in the playlist are missing. Please help me!
• Sometimes in facadeview with small and large icons right upper title could be cut at the bottom (see this post thanks to Els). This issue does not occur in MP 1.1.0 beta.

Music View - Backdrop support

can you give us a small guide how you get your MyMusic screen so nice with Artist Cover and Backdrop picture?

I guess you edit Backdrops manually (=Fanart?) and let the ArtistCovers (=folder.jpg?) generate with Audioscrobbler plugin? Am I right? I am looking for a painless method with nice results... (high expectations, I know but we know moving pictures, this is possible!)

the backdrops must be somewhere in the skins/blackglass folder, I guess? That´s why I got a nice U2 backdrop after installing your skin There was no more similarity in our music taste

Man this looks amazing. I was thinking about doing something like this. I had helped a little bit with theatre, to fix a couple bugs. That was also where I learned the skin system and I was wanting to remake a skin based on theatre, and here you've done a fantabulous job. I haven't actually tested it yet, but will do so in the next couple days and report back.

I love this skin, so this is just a cosmetic point.

I see that every page (music, weather, etc...) has its own name on the top left corner in the language you have choosen for MediaPortal.
Except the plugin Showtime. If you put "showtime" in another language than english, this new language is correctly displayed in the home menu but not into the page itself, it always remains "showtime". Is it possible to change that?

Hi Tgx, just wondered if you had thought about adding a fade animation for the alternative home mod? Would be great if they backgrounds could fade in/out when scrolling through the menu although not sure if this is possible?
