This plugin works great, but there's 2 things I'd like to get working:

1) After I've finished watching a disc I'd like to be able to exit powerdvd8 using my mce remote (which works fine for everthing else).

2) To have the hd_Starter.exe to quit as well as that seems to make my keys on my keyboard go all wrong.

Any one got any ideas how to accomplish these 2 things?

Thanks for your great work :), the plugin works nicely for me.

I modified the script for PowerDVD8, back button of MCE remote, and RunWait to hide desktop switching from MP to PowerDVD.

I'm tryng to hide mouse pointer in PowerDVD...

Thank you very much.

Bye

P.S. :sorry: for my bad english.

if I hit the "back" button on my MCE remote which usually sends the ESC key, it doesnt close down CyberLink PowerDVD.

Try setting the exit function of the script to browser_back instead of ESC. That should fix the problem.

Modify the script with browser_back instead of Escape.

...

Is possible this?

[...]
Launch and close this as well as PDVD "BZHider v1.0 - Cursor hider for Win32." all from the same HD_launcher script.

I can't start BZHider because it doesn't find MSVBVM50.dll: I have to install Visual Basic or any dll?

Thanks

Now all we need is to get this put into a MPI.

Any takers???? :)

MoPhat you legend! Great plugin chaympo! Also, maybe we can have the option for the 24p shortcut to execute automatically because I am probably sure most of us are using Powerdvd pretty much just for BD or HDDVD. Obviously it would need to execute back to 50 when its done. Is this viable?

Hi Nobleware, please check my original version from the first post.
it does switch back to 50p if you exit PDVD...(!?)

Ok, i can make MPI versions from the plugin :D

For that i should know the versions to do that...

    - PowerDVD7 with escape button for exiting (with 24/50p switching)
    - PowerDVD8 with escape button for exiting (with 24/50p switching)
    - PowerDVD7 with browser_back button for exiting (with 24/50p switching)
    - PowerDVD8 with browser_back button for exiting (with 24/50p switching)
    - Which skin should be default for PDVD7 and which for PDVD8 (please upload a PDVD8 version)

please tell me what for source modification its needed for PDVD8 and the browser_back key, i create them the MPI files.

    :D

    p.s.
does the MP installer recognize the correct folder path of other programms like PDVD, or only the MP path???

This is the PowerDVD8 skin I am using (link is not from me): Link

Please also note that not everyone is using ATI video cards, and some people (like me) live in countries where the prevalent refresh rate is 60Hz, not 50. Can that be incorporated into your solution? See my other post from yesterday about how to do the switching with NVIDIA based cards.

shure, i know that...but i think you can define in the nvidia settings shortcuts for profiles switching with keyboard shortcuts... is it so?

or is it only possible to switch the profiles with something like that: Run Rundll32.exe nvcpl.dll`, dtcfg setmode 1 1920 1080 32 24

    - on the ATI solution you can define 2 profile, one for 50/60Hz and the other for 24Hz
    - for Nvidia??? > i can create 4 versions: 50/24, 60/24 for 1280 x 720 and 1920 x 1080, are this a solution?

    thx

Yes, you can define different profiles. But based on my experimentation, I don't think you can store refresh rates in Profiles, only other settings like resolution, quality etc. -- someone correct me if I am wrong. I also don't think you can define easy shortcuts to switch between profiles. It would have to be a rundll call again.

Thanks MoPhat, your original script is fantastic and I am using my modified version of it on a daily basis.
