Don't know. I use a hauppauge-48-button ir-controller. My HD_Starter provides hauppauge-controll and hotkeys defined by moPhat, when parameter useHotkey=y is preset. These hotkeys should work with mce-controller. So I think with MoPhat's HD_Starter mce-controller should work out-of-the-box

Hi guys,

I don't have a dedicated HTPC, so after following the above method I ended up launching powerdvd on my computer monitor, instead of my LCD screen. Any tips?!

Thanks

I don't have an ati-graphic-adapter, but does "extended desktop" mean that you can drag an application und drop it on the second display? Clone-mode means that you have identical outputs on both displays. Use the same resolution on both displays. This works for me.

Btw PDVD doesn't start a BD when a second (or analog) device is detected. So I switch off the clone-mode and switch on the single-mode with my LCD as primary display (see my HD_Starter.ahk). I don't know how to manage this with ati-cards.

If you run powerDVD in cinema mode the MCE remote works perfect :)

in MoPath's script the pathes are hardcoded. So you must recompile it, if you use a different version of PDVD or an installation-path that is not the default.

If you are using my HD_Starter (see post #585) with ini-File you don't have to recompile it, because all pathes can be maintained by editing the ini-file.

Well I tried this and the results were disastrous. I got a couple of errors running the HD_Starter, then all of the sudden my second monitor went blank (IE the desktop disappeared from it ) and I can't seem to get it back!!!

** ok panic over, I had to go into the display controls and tell it that the screen was connected. Still, that was a bit scary!

Which errors did you get? Did you change the path PDVD in the ini-file? If you are using an ati-graphic-adapter you must set all nvidia-preset to null (empty string after "="). Maybe this caused the blank-screen-with-no-return :)

Still, that was a bit scary!

It's Halloween-Time :)
