Which errors did you get? Did you change the path PDVD in the ini-file? If you are using an ati-graphic-adapter you must set all nvidia-preset to null (empty string after "="). Maybe this caused the blank-screen-with-no-return

Using an nvidia card, so that wasn't the issue. I had missed a couple of the changes on the PDVD part, but fixed them. It seemed to freak out the most when it did the mouse thing.

Bit early! Wish I'd known! I actually went and just recompiled the original version. The issue is that I was using an extra partition to install XP MCE to test it out. Well, it made my primary drive I instead of C, since there was already a C (strange that when I used the same partition for Windows 7 RC, it viewed it as C, and I just couldn't see the original C drive).

Anyway, it worked out great and since I won't even have a mouse attached to this machine when I'm done, I'm just going to use the original!

the tool is created with autohotkeys from AutoHotkey - Free Mouse and Keyboard Macro Program with Hotkeys and AutoText.

How to install it?

ATTENTION:
PowerDVD and MediaPortal must be installed in the path %PROGRAM FILES%\Team MediaPortal\ and %PROGRAM FILES%\Cyberlink

Otherwise should the Script (HD_Starter_autohotkey_source.rar) changed and new compiled!


1. Copy the files HD Starter.dll and HD_Starter.exe in the MediaPortal plugins\Windows directory
2. Execute the DLLFix in the plugins\Windows directory
3. Copy the MediaPortal Skin Image in the desired Skin\Media folder
4. Open the MP Config and choose the HD Starter plugin (its a MultiShortCurt plugin), select the desired icon and the HD_Starter.exe path
5. Enter the needed settings like in the Screenshot
6. Copy if needed the PowerDVD Skin file in the PowerDVD installation folder %PROGRAM FILES%\Cyberlink\PowerDVD\Skin
7. Select in PDVD Config the new Skin
8. You can now use the HD Player

notice:
the switch to 24p mode is done by CTRL+SHIFT+4 back to 50hz mode is CTRL+SHIFT+5!
You should define this profiles in you ATI Catalyst Manager, for NVidia i dont know how to do that

Ansonsten muss das Skript (HD_Starter_autohotkey_source.rar) geändert (Pfade) und neu compiliert werden!


1. Die Dateien HD Starter.dll und HD_Starter.exe in das MediaPortal Verzeichnis plugins\Windows kopieren
2. Die DLLFix im MediaPortal Verzeichnis plugins\Windows ausführen
3. Die Skin Image Bilder in das benutzte Skin\Media Verzeichnis kopieren
4. MP Config öffnen und das HD Starter plugin auswählen (ist das MultiShortCurt plugin), gewünschtes Icon und den Pfad zur HD_Starter.exe
5. Weitere Einstellungen wie im Screenshot einstellen
6. Falls gewünscht den PowerDVD Skin in den Ordner %PROGRAMME%\Cyberlink\PowerDVD\Skin kopieren
7. In der PDVD Config den gewünschten Skin auswählen
8. Der HD Player kann jetzt benutzt werden

Hinweis:
Die Umschaltung der Grafikkarte in den 24p Modus wird durch die Tastenkombination CTRL+SHIFT+4 gemacht der 50hz Modus ist mit CTRL+SHIFT+5 geregelt!

Hierzu muss im ATI Catalyst Manager 2 Profile eingerichtet werden damit dies Wirkung zeigt, für NVidia...keine Ahnung wie das dort geht.

despite a pretty normal install on an XP machine, I ran into the same problem. If I double clicked the HD_Starter app from windows explorer, it worked fine, but not through media portal. My solution was that instead of putting just "Windows\HD_Starter.exe" in the config Exefile field, I put the entire path: "C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\Windows\HD_Starter.exe"

Works like a charm!

Thx, I did the same and it didnt work again, so I only wrote "plugins\Windows\HD_Starter.exe" and no it works fine .

Mit welchem Programm kann man das Skript nach der Anderung erneut compilieren?

Since the first post doesn't say, i'll ask; Can i use whichever version of PowerDVD i want if i'm only using BluRay? AFAIK i have to use 7.3 if i want to use both HD DVD and BluRay...And the free version does only offer a 30 days trail, or...?

with the HD_Starter-Version of the first post you can only use PDVD-Versions which default path is c:\program files\Cyberlink\PowerDVD or whatever your language-specific program path is called. If you want to use PDVD9 you will have to change HD_Starter.ahk (installation-path of PDVD9) and recompile it. Using my HD_Starter.exe with ini-file (see post #585) you only have to maintain the path in the ini-file. You don't have to recompile it.

7.3 is the last version which supports HD-DVD

I don't understand your question. There is no need to put it in skin-specific folders. It is skin-independent. With installing the files into the plugin-folder you are able to configure it via MP-Coniguration/plugin (see pictures in post 1 of MoPhat).

Ich versteh nicht ganz die Frage. HD_Starter ist skin-unabhängig. Wenn Du die Files in das MP-Plugin-Verzeichnis kopiert hast, kannst du festlegen, welchen Text in welchem Menü Du haben möchtest (siehe Post 1 von MoPhat. Im 2. Bild ist es gut zu erkennen). Als Pfad musst Du den kompletten Pfad zur HD_Starter.exe angeben (normalerweise C:\Programme\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal/plugins\Windows\HD_Starter.exe)

Ich versuche mich daran mein BD-Rom mithilfe diese plugins unter MP zum laufen zubekommen.

Allerdings habe ich das Problem das das beigelegte PDVD8 sich bei mir in \programme\cyberlink\powerdvd8 installiert.
Das alleine wäre ja noch zu beheben aber die Startdatei heist auch powerdvd8.exe und ein reines umbenennen hat leider nicht funktioniert.

Natürlich habe ich gelesen das man dann wohl das Paket verändern und neu compilieren muss, aber wie?
Ich bin doch bestimmt noicht der erste der diese Problem hat, oder?

Kann mir vielleicht jemand eine modifizierte Version zur verfügung stellen?

Ist ganz einfach, installiere einfach das Autohotkey-Programm aus dem Eingangspost, Du brauchst es nicht starten, es werden bei der Installation im Datei-Kontextmenü 2 Einträge hinzugefügt, Edit und Compile. Dann machst Du einen Rechtsklick auf die Source-Datei aus der HD_Starter_autohotkey_source.rar, gehts im Kontextmenü auf Edit, dann öffnet sich die Datei im Editor, dort passt Du alles an was anzupassen ist, dann speichern. Dann machst Du nochmal nen Rechtsklick auf die bearbeitete, gespeicherte Datei und wählst im Kontextmenü eingach Compile new (oder was da steht, ich weiß es jetzt aus dem Kopf nicht genau) und somit wird eine neue HD_Starter.exe aus der angepassten Datei erzeugt und ins gleiche Verzeichnis geschrieben. Mit dieser überschreibst Du dann die originale HD_Starter.exe im entspr. Verzeichnis.
