Which errors did you get? Did you change the path PDVD in the ini-file? If you are using an ati-graphic-adapter you must set all nvidia-preset to null (empty string after "="). Maybe this caused the blank-screen-with-no-return
Using an nvidia card, so that wasn't the issue. I had missed a couple of the changes on the PDVD part, but fixed them. It seemed to freak out the most when it did the mouse thing.

Bit early! Wish I'd known! I actually went and just recompiled the original version. The issue is that I was using an extra partition to install XP MCE to test it out. Well, it made my primary drive I instead of C, since there was already a C (strange that when I used the same partition for Windows 7 RC, it viewed it as C, and I just couldn't see the original C drive).
Anyway, it worked out great and since I won't even have a mouse attached to this machine when I'm done, I'm just going to use the original!
