Hi all,

yesterday evening have testet the HGStartet with GUI !

I think it works but the probles is the bad pwerfomance !

I have a new HTPC with Windows 7 64 and an Athlon X2 250.
I klick in Mediacenter on the button it takes about 5 minutes to close (or minimize) MP open PowerDVD !

Is Something wrong in my settings ? I copied all files in C:\HDStarter ! Config this with the gui ->
Copy the HD-Startes.dll to Mediaportal Plugins Windows !
Config it at MP !

What about the decription in Moving Pictures

Configuring Bluray and HDDVD playback - Moving Pictures

Use internal Player and use External player !

Whats the difference ?

Can i Use the Internal Player ? What are the disadvantage to use the Internal Player ?

don't know whether somebody is running win7/64 with mp and hd_starter. Normally the switch between mp and pdvd takes no longer than seconds. Maybe this causes your issues. How long does it take to close mp and start pdvd manually?

As i don't know "Moving Pictures" I cannot say any word about it.

The internal player of mp can't play back BD or HDDVD stuff because of restrictions by the film-industry. Only those players can be used which have implemented play-back functionality (PDVD e. g.). That's the reason why we use this "hack" with hd_starter (at the first glance "Moving Pictures" works in the same way)

Well, I do so!

I use Win7 64bit, HD-Starter and PowerDVD8 and it doesn't take minutes to close MP and start PDVD.

MP just closes, the Windows desktop appears for some seconds and then PDVD starts.

But my problem is, PDVD starts only in Windows-mode and I can't switch back to MP, even with Microsoft MCE RC and by egale modified HD-Starter.

do you use the latest release of HD_Starter? Have a look into the ini-file. There should be the path to PDVD with parameter /FULLSCREEN. If not, complete the path within the quotation marks. Should look like ".....PowerDVD.exe /FULLSCEEN". So MP-path should be.

Hi,

First of all: a very big thanks for this plugin it works well.

But I have a problem with my X10 remote control.

Non X10 command is routed from MP to PowerDVD.

What shut I do ?

Thanks, now I can start PDVD in fullscreen mode.

But one more question: after watching the bluray, how can I go back to MediaPortal?!

I use the Microsoft MCE RC and if I press the "back" button nothing happens...

I already changed the settings with your Java GUI program to MCE and I can start the movie, stop the movie, etc., but I cannot go back to MP?!

The only possibility to come back to MP is to shut down PDVD manualy with the mouse...

Do you have any idea?!

Ah, and I wanted to hide the mouse cursor but I don't know the mouse program?! I just use the standard Windows 7 (64bit) bluetooth HID-Mouse?!

Do you know the program file / path?!

look at post #727. There I included the changes of bellzz. He uses the browser-back-button (don't know which one it is, I've got no MCE-IR). Give it a try.
The Hide-Mouse-Programm is included in the zip-file which I provided. Put it in a directory of your choice and configure the ini-file. This should help.

sorry, but don't know how to solve your problem because I don't know X10-controllers. Is there a possibilty to map keystrokes to x10-commands? This can be a possibilty to link x10-commands via script to PDVD-keys.

erst einmal ein Danke im Voraus an MoPhat für die Grundsteinlegung und Eagle für die saubere Weiterentwicklung des Plugins, Top Arbeit.

Ich selber habe jetzt auch (mal wieder) den Versuch gestartet eine BluRay Unterstützung in mein MePo zu bauen und habe die neueste Version mit GUI von Eagle verwendet. Funktioniert soweit auch, nur habe ich einige Vorschläge die ich versucht habe umzusetzen aber nicht, bzw. nur Teilweise geschafft habe.

1. Ich habe eine iMon Fernbedienung und mache die MePo als auch PowerDVD Steuerung mit der iMon Software, demnach müssen mit dem Skript keine Pfade verbogen werden. Verbesserungsvorschlag für die GUI wäre dann also iMon hinzuzufügen und keine Pfade umzubiegen

2. Eben durch den Einsatz der iMon kann ich Windows Funktionen direkt mit der FB ansteuern. Mit MoPhats original-Skript kann man per "Escape"-Taste PDVD schließen und MePo geht wieder auf, was in der GUI Version nicht mehr geht.

3. Ich fände es praktisch wenn direkt nach dem öffnen von PDVD die Wiedergabe der eingelegten Disc startet, so spart man sich einen Tastendruck. In MoPhats skript hatte ich das schon Implementiert bekommen aber bei dem neuen steige ich nicht mehr so durch. Ich hatte einfach ein delay von 5sek eingebaut und dann ein return {enter}.

Grundlegend reichten mir die Funktionen von MoPhats Skript nur habe ich bei dem das Problem das meine FB nicht richtig funktioniert. So geht zwar alles auf und die Disc startet auch, nur wenn ich dann eine Taste auf der FB drücke geht MePo in den Vordergrund und der Befehl wird dort ausgeführt.

1. I've got an iMon-IR and control MePo and PowerDVD with the iMon-Software. So I don't need manipulate pathes in the script. Suggestion for improvement of the GUI is to add iMon-Support without touching any pathes.

I think that is not to much work. I'll have look at it

2. By using iMon I'm able to use Windows-functions directly via IR. With MoPhat's script I'm able to close PDVD and open MePo via "escape"-Button. That's not possible with the GUI-Version.

3. It would be practicle to start an inserted disc after opening PDVD. It saves one press on the button. There was an implementation in MoPhat's script, but now it's all Greek to me. There was a 5 seconds-delay and a return.

I must have a look at it because after starting PDVD the script pauses until PDVD is terminated. If it is possible to do some more commands I'll implement it
