would it be possible to get the ability to change the menu name added to the config? Like My showtimes plugin where you can give it your own personal name? this thing will play just about anything (blu-ray, hd-dvd, DVD, and cd). It would be really nice to be able to name the menu as we intend to use it (so it does not confuse my wife and kids).

thanks

P.S. - this is AWESOME for blu-ray movies. thanks

I'll add that to the next beta when I have some free time.

    Cool, thanks.

now questions about the player if anyone knows:
I used this to play a DVD and it didn't look as good as in the built in player in MP. I figured this player would look better, but was wrong. I am running a 1080p full hd through HDMI. The arcsoft player was kind of pixel like. you could really see the pixels on the regular DVD. With the built in player, it seemed to upconvert it to 1080p. not as good as a true 1080p picture but much better than the arcsoft player. could not really see the "pixels". And pixels is a bad term. it was just not as defined along the edges of things. that is where you could really see the difference.

Anyone know if arcsoft will upconvert?

I know I will be asking no their forum as well, but I was here first. LOL

    thanks

Arcsoft's player is focusing on HD content. DVD playback (basicly their codecs) aren't that good and you should use some other codecs + MediaPortal's own player to play DVDs.

    Hi Tourettes,

    Thanks for writing this plugin.

I'm running MP on my secondary monitor. When I use this plugin, the video is played in the primary monitor.
Is there a way to force the Arcsoft player to play in the secondary monitor?

Not that I know of. If someone figures it out I'll add such feature to the plugin itself. On possibility might the that the plugin would move the MCE plugin's window to the 2nd desktop, but I'm not sure how the HW accell etc. are working in that situation. Also I have no 2nd display were I could test this, so implementing it is pretty hard.

    thanks,
I actually can load the arcsoft plugin in MCE which is running in the second display.

It does open in the second display properly in MCE....I wonder how it does that as well....

Hi Tourettes, I recently installed the plugin and when I click on "Play Blu-Ray", nothing happens, but I do notice that it has opened up MCE TMT in the background. Isn't it supposed to be integrated in MP or is it a totally different screen that I have to Alt+Tab it?
