I Scan 39 channels ok, and then BSOD on channel 41: (solid... all the time)
- Channel 1 not found (normal),
- Channels 2-40 found,
- Channel 41 BSOD. Should be (41-47 not found, 48 found, 49-57 not found, 58 found and 59-125 not found).
Scanning takes very long, 15 minutes for 39 channels (22 secondes per channel).

I also get BSOD within 1-2 minutes of running TV-Server Configuration\Test Channel.
I also get BSOD when I close TV in MP Windows client as well as in Android Kodi PVR plugin. (About 50% of the time).

I have tried Driver89_7_9_1_32183 from the install CD.
I have tried Driver89_7_9_1_33006 downloaded from Hauppauge site.

Installing 7.9.1.28162 fails on NO COMPATIBLE HARDWARE FOUND.

I have tested on Windows 10 on two different computer, on Windows 8.1.
I also installed a NEW Windows 10 only for testing MP1, BSOD again ,again, and again.

I have scanned 41 channels (much faster) without problem with WinTV V8.

Please help !
Thank you

    Hello

Thank you for the report and for the log files. (y)

Your timing is impeccable! I say this because we're actually in contact with Hauppauge right now trying to resolve a BSOD issue with an HVR-2200. :)
I'll let Hauppauge know about this thread immediately. We'll get back to you as soon as possible, either with a solution or with a request for more information.

Scanning takes very long, 15 minutes for 39 channels (22 secondes per channel).
If this bothers you, you can reduce the "analog" [timeout] setting in TV Server Configuration -> General section, Scan tab:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...n/TV-Server_Configuration/06_General#Scan_Tab

The consequence of reducing the time is that TV Server may not find names for your channels. In many cases names are not available anyway.

    Regards,
    mm

    mm, Thank you so much,

Scanning taking long time was anoying for me because I have tried MP1 with 3 other tuner cards in 4 different Windows before buying the HVR-2255. And then, different drivers and more channels scan.
When we get this HVR-2255 card to run, I wont have to scan everyday. Ouf.

I'm willing to do any kind of testing, I have time and I have setup a Windows 10 to test MP1 with HVR-2255.

    Regards,
    André

    Hello again André

Hauppauge have identified an issue with the tuner driver which they are investigating. In the meantime they have asked me to provide a patch for you to test. Please install the attached patch and check if it enables you to do a full scan and use MediaPortal/KODI without BSODs.

    Installation instructions:
    1. Open TV Server Configuration.
    2. Navigate to the "manual control" section.
    3. Click "stop service".
    4. Close TV Server Configuration.
    5. Open Windows Explorer.
    6. Navigate to the TV Server install folder (by default c:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server).
    7. Take a backup of TVLibrary.dll.
    8. Download and extract the attached TVLibrary.dll into that folder to replace the original one.
    9. Open TV Server Configuration.
    10. Click "yes" to start the TV service when prompted.
Now the patch is installed and you can try scanning etc.

    Regards,
    mm

    Wow !

    After replacing TVLibrary.dll ...

    All Good !

I have scanned both analog tuner and they both scanned to the end, channel 158. (Was BSOD at channel 41 all the time.)

I have run TVserver Config\ChannelTest for over 30 minutes OK. (Was BSOD witthin 1-2 minutes.)

Was getting BSOD on TV close. about 50% of the time from Windows client or Kodi\PVR client. Did not happen anymore after replacing TVLibrary.dll

Here are logs AFTER testing the patch:

I did get 2 Windows reboot, may not be related to this patch ?
Don't know what happen, I was on a windows client changing channel and lost connection to the TVserver. Walk to the the Server computer to findout it was rebooting.

I will continue testing and report. I will provide new logs if I get more BSOD.

(Also, the tuner seems faster, starting TV and swithing channels).

    Thank you very much,
    André

Thank you for the report André. I will pass the result to Hauppauge.

Here are logs AFTER testing the patch:
These log files seem to be the same as before. Can you please double-check.

    Hi mm,

You are correct ! My mistake. Here are the logs AFTER testing the patch. I got 1 Windows reboot at about 20:30( 8:30 PM) 2015-10-29.
This was all done on a test Windows.

On the next day, I moved the HVR-2255 tuner card in my everyday Windows and MP have been running fine since then. Hummmm ! I did get one reebot while changing channel in my normal Windows on the 2015-10-30 at about 9:30 AM but i did not happen again.

Let me know if we want more test/logs etc.
    Thank you

    Thank you. :)

It seems that the log files do not include the time when the reboot occurred, so I'm not able to look into that. Everything else looks okay. :)

    Thank you very much.

I will let you know if I have more problems.

    FYI:
I have reduce the TVServer Configuration\General\Scan Analog delay from 20 to 10 and then to 5. Went from 22 to 7 secs. per channel. I get the channel names OK. (same as with 20 secs)

I'm really happy with my new HRV-2255 and with MP1, thanks to you.
    Regards,
    André
