Works perfectly here. Did you change the setting within MP? If so, you apparently need to exit and restart MP.

Shouldn't there be a hint for the user to restart after a configuration change?

There is if you exit settings by hitting 'back' repeatedly. I am on to it

Yeah, i con confirm that option works but need to restart MP (that is ok when do back or esc) but not home.

I have tried several times with hitting back after the configuration change or going directly to home after the change but never got a hint to restart MePo.

my workflow:
On basic home navigate to pictures
choose submenu "Einstellungen"
choose "Diashow"
change the clip settings
leave the settings part with back or choose a remote shortcut to basic home

Ok Try directly from setting in Home and do back.
Effectively from mypicture it doesn't work, GUISetting code need to add a check i suppose
