i ve also a problem with the hotkeys ALT+F4.
i need a solution to deactivated following keys

ALT+F4
ALT+Enter

in Mediaportal, not over Windows.

Background: my Remote have also two "special" Buttons:

- Power Button: the Remote send the Code for ALT+F4, its not possible to open the Shutdown Menu in MP, because MP close directly
- MCE (Green Button): the Remote send the Code for ALT+ENTER, its not possible to switch only between Home and BASIC Home. MP toogle between Fullscreen and Windows-Mode.

I take it this is regarding your remote and configuring it, if it is, would you like me to move post to remotes section.

Which software did you end up using to get remote to work BTW.

the remote dont use a configuration tool. in the device manager windows detect the remote as a keyboard and that this the problem. its not possible to change the remote-code, that is the reason that i need another solution.

i thing it gives two solution for this (or similiar) remotes:

    1) Change Code in Mediaportal. Mediaportal should not respond to Windows Hotkeys like Alt-Enter and Alt-F4.
    2) Change Hotkey Settings in WindowsXP (but i dont know how). i have try AutoHotkey, but then the two Buttons on this Remote dont work. Is it perhaps possible that Windows do nothing if i push Alt-F4 and Alt-Enter ?

    here are some infos:

After many hours of troubleshooting I've given up and accepted that it's just "one of these things" when using madVR for watching live TV. I've now ticked the box to "Use EVR for LiveTV", with a default display refresh rate of 50Hz. In combination with tweaking some of the Nvidia 3D settings for the MP executable only, I now have a...

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck? Preferable with as much disabled as possible also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything) maybe other programs competing for resouces?
