I notice that if I start the FM radio playing first, and then watch a TV channel, this works correctly, and I can then stop the TV channel and listen to the radio again.

Ahhh, okay. There is a hybrid card bug that I fixed in 1.2.0b that may be in play here. Basically not all analog tuners can tune FM. You have to "initialise" the tuner to determine whether it is capable of tuning FM, and the process of initialising can mess up the tuner driver if the digital side of the tuner is being used at the same time (like what you're doing). So let me confirm:

1. Restart TV Server.
2. Tune FM channel.
3. Stop radio.
4. Tune DVB-T channel.
5. Tune FM channel.

... will work? If so then the other bug that I've fixed in 1.2.0b is playing havoc with you...

But strange issue if I start FM radio, and then select a TV channel to record now, it never starts recording. I could provide separate log of that situation if it would help.

Provide as much logging as you like as long as you explain what you did and what went wrong...

Yes, that works. I think you may be right with the hybrid bug. I always thought it felt buggy. I guess I need to take the plunge and upgrade to 1.20b.

I believe the Miroslav stuttering patch has been applied to 1.20 so I shouldn't have any issues with that.

Yes... and no. You're *really* not going to like this, but something else broke the FM support in 1.2.0b. I mean... it works... but when you change to a different station, you hear the whole timeshift buffer from the station that you were just listening to all over again before starting to hear the new station. It is beyond my skill to fix that issue. And the code that was introduced that causes that behaviour is apparently necessary.

The official build should be fine for you.

PS: since I last posted I've dropped what I was working on and dived head-first into this problem. I'm not going to make promises, but I'm making good progress. Give me another couple of evenings like this and I could have this problem knocked out.

Meant to give you an update: I was up 'til around 5am last night eek working on this, and I managed to get it working properly. It would be *really* awesome if you could upgrade to 1.2.0b and test the fix (I'll provide binaries this time) - that would help to ensure that this fix makes it into 1.2.0rc...
