The power may have been reduced. Same problem reported on Geekzone here.
What dish sizes are you all using?

Got a 90cm dish and usually had no problems with rain fade or anything.

Still getting a signal ... Audio is choppy and Video is ok'ish ..."

That would probably be a 65 cm then - maybe you need an 85+ now? I have a 90 with 3 LNBs so I'll check when I get home...

Whatever Sky stuck on the roof ;) I've got the one with the newer LNB but I guess the dish size is the same. Maybe I should get one of those dishes like the Indians in Papatoetoe have on their front lawns (2.5mtrs or there about) - I think they're checking out the images coming from the Hubble telescope (if it works) with those dishes :D

Reception suddenly improved around 6:30pm ... and was again crystal clear over night.

mm, I notice that EPG Collector says that both my DVB-T tuners are in use if MP has been using them but isn't any longer. I don't know if this is a new thing with 1.20b as I have always had the PC reboot at 5:30am and do the MHEG5 EPG collecting at 5:45am, and this has always worked. But during Wimbledon I changed the reboot to 7am and I noticed the EPG wasn't being collected. It doesn't affect me because of the daily reboot but it will likely affect lots of others.

    Hi rlevis

Yeah, that is new in 1.2.0a. If you use "pause mode" instead of "stop mode", it *may* give you faster channel changes in TV Server, but it prevents other software from using the tuners. Anyone who wants/needs other software to be able to grab the tuners at any time can simply use "stop mode". Information -->here<-- (when card enters idle state do the following...).

Note: pause mode has been the default for 1.2.0a and 1.2.0b in order to gauge the side effects of the setting (some tuners can't handle it). We will set the default as stop mode for 1.2.0 final.

I've cloned and upgraded my mediaportal from XP to win7. (don't worry mm1352000, I still have the original XP on another disk, and another MP box that I can test the Winfast DTV 2000 DS ;-) ).
thing is, this is the same hardware that I managed to scan all my dvb-s (nova-s plus cards X2), only now it's showing "no signal" when I try to scan..
happy to post logs, but is there a specific one needed?
I was able to scan with the cheapie dvb-t USB one I got off ebay, but satellite is a fail.

also (if it's any help) I haven't activated the win7 (home premium) as yet.. will do, but I figured that I could scan on the dvb-t then that should mean I can scan on the dvb-s.. just a lil suspect of M$ in case they disabled something or other.

so.. which log should I attach?
    epg.log
    install_1.1.0.0_2011-07-10_21-25-55.log
    OldLogs
    streaming server.Log
    TsWriter-2011-07-10.Log
    tv.log

    cheers
