Yeah there is a post about that, change the series file/folder naming format so that it is the same as movies. Then apparently it works. Magical :D

Ahh. I didn't realize selecting Series was changing another set of options. I had to set a Custom format so it was the same as Movies.

    Thanks!

Argh! Don't you just hate it when one of the channels changes a show from something to "All New" something and then MP doesn't record it!!!!

Looks like I need to install the TV Wishlist plugin again.
I am with you on that....suddenly nothing is recording. I never had joy with tvwishlist via client and server setup....which meant I had to make changes via server setup on the server computer. Might also need to revist

I recently tried the internal MP TV-Server EPG grabber for DVB-T and I found it left a lot of holes in the tv guide. If you are having problems with EPG holes then I suggest you switch over to EPG Collector. Instructions are in the MP NZ Wiki (link in my signature below).

    Me too.

On a completely unrelated subject, I was gutted to find since Easter, TV1 are not now taking BBC World for the early hours programming. I was using this to record Click, Fast Track and 1 or 2 other weekly programs and have done for years. Bugger!

Right, Mediaportal is awesome, we all know that but I have previously only been using it for avis, mp4s etc. I just bought this DVD-s sat box and I have no idea where to start. I have a working (i hope) old sky dish on the side of my house and the feed comes down through the wall into the back of my decoder/tuner thingy. Then I have that plugged into my laptop. I have installed the drivers that came with it and the device is recognised in mediaportal and i have followed the instructions on this page but still get no channels.
I have an intel core 2 duo t8300 @ 2.40ghz, 4gig ram, windows 7 ultimate. GeForce 8600M GT graphics card

    Please help :)

It's good that MP can see the card, it might be that those instructions are bad or it might be that the sattelite dish is not connected or setup correctly. Just out of interest do you live in an area that doesn't get terrestrial freeview (DVB-T is easier to setup and is better quality)

Also I'm not sure how accurate or up to date the DVB-S guide is, I updated the DVB-T guide, but I'm not sure how good the DVB-S guide is as I only use DVB-T.

Ok so I have read through and searched, for hours, have tried several things, but have yet to fix this: My TVNZ picture is jumpy and pixelated, worse on TV2 than TV1 and sometimes affects the TVNZ SD chans as well, mostly U and TVonePlus1 but to a much lesser extent.

I have disabled AVG Anti-virus, all non essential services, still bad.

It worked fine originally, but SD chans were all pixely, I know right, wrong way round!! they cleared up after watching for 30-60 secs, but who wants to sit through that! so I had a hunt around, and found that the HW acceleration was off, turned it on (the Intel QuickSync stuff) that solved it! but then then in the morning I noticed the above problem :( tried turning the HW accel off, no effect, on anything so far as i can tell! Even most of the SD chans are still fine.

Any thoughts or suggestions anyone? or perhaps have somewhere I should be posting this rather than this super long thread! I think perhaps we need a specific NZ folder thingy, anyhoo, system deets in the sig below (hopefully, this is my first post!)

Oh and I bought and built it very recently, everything is brand spankers except the WD blue drive, with the intention of dumping SKY as it is more money than I need to be spending to record mainly TVNZ/Mediaworks anyway! Plus I like the idea of watching it on other machines and the other advantages of having an HTPC, I have always wanted to build a new one. I used to use a TV card in a PC eons ago instead of a VCR so I guess that was my first HTPC as I watched everything on it, even SKY, though that's not possible any more ;)

    Please help!
