Sweet dude, im currrently just running the old 150 analoge card so getting to digital will be a nice upgrade since my tv1 and c4 are a bit average. Will miss prime though.... might have to use the old software card to tune that in (wintv card).

$145 isnt a bad price either, and no problems with setup? sounds good.

Yeah setup is easy. If your not going to be using Diseqc then go straight to the beta BDA driver from the technisat support site. In which case don't run the setup CD; just install the driver the normal way when windows finds new hardware. If you do need Diseqc then you will need to use the normal WDM driver and run though the setup program that will install a program called setup4PC and this will help with tuning etc.

Are you using TV2 or TV3? I'd reccommend TV3 ;)

Do you mean Hauppauge PVR-150? Coz the PVR-150 is a hardware encoding card. However if you do just have a software card then I'd recommend ditching it for a hardware based PVR-150 if you've got the cash to spare. The Hauppage hardware cards a really seemless. Antenna goes in mpeg video comeo out. All sweet! :D

Anyways, best of luck; let us know how you get on :)

My LNB settings are 11300 for LNB and 0 for Switch,

had issues getting my hauppauge nova-s card going, but got there in the end

Also, for people who currently dont know
Apparently the freeview channels will have EPG via MPEG-5 only so i dont think we can retrieve them in mediaportal if they do this

Hi Just wondering if you did anything in particular with regards to setting and changing any of the satellite files to get your Nova S running.

I am currently trying to get mine Nova S running and would appreciate any help or tips you discovered. Cheers

Hey,

I've got a technotrend S1500 which i think is the same card. You do have the NOVA S not the NOVA S Plus? The plus quite different I think.

Are you having specific problems getting your NOVA S running? Waht are you running TVE2 or TVE3(TvServer)?
What are the problems?
What have you tried?
What drivers are you running?
etc?

Cheers,
Rhys

Hi and Welcome,
what sort of setup are you running? I can highly reccommend MediaPortal+TVServer3 for TV I've got my setup running pretty sweet with freeview and analog.

Hi Rhys. Im just running MediaPortal with an Hauppauge PVR-500 at the moment and still working the kinks out like trying to get the remote to do more than just the basics.
