Can MP support Chinese? (1 Viewer)

I just want to know how can mp suppport Chinese words.

Sorry lauyond1999,

but MP doesn't currently support Chinese. As mzemina already pointed out Isaac Lin was working on a solution and seemed to have made good progress, but he has not been around for a while. So the best bet is to contact him.

See if he has made any more progress.

RE: Asian characters support

Hi beefturkey,

It’s requiring modified C# source code, MPSA, font engine, fonts.xml, and string.xml files. Basically, it is not impossible for supporting Asia Language, and furthermore I can display Tradition Chinese in My Music mode for displaying ID3 information and file name. In the end, I am working on how to improve font engine capability and study on font engine of the xbmc project.

Anyway, I will update my work in MP forum.
