Can This Be Used To Stream To A TV? (1 Viewer)

I have windows XP and therefore don't have windows media centre. Can mediaportal be used with a Xbox 360 or extender (Joined with a pair of thos ethernet plug into the mains thing)?

    Short answer: no.

    Some user inhere have had success with Popcorn Hour as a "client" but this is just reading a list of streams and picking one from a simple interface.

    An option would be to build your own PC-client from cheap and/or low-power hardware. Think Eebox, or the ION platform which is supposed to do FullHD (1080p) but may have problems with 1080i (it has an Nvidia 9400 onboard, deinterlacing 1080i would most likely max it out).
