sure you are scanning the right Share?
What typ of music we're talking about? mp3, ogg, ....
Have you told mp to scan for those extensions?
have a look at the mediaportal.log. It should give a messages for every song added.

The music is probably "there", but you are viewing in the wrong folder
Like here;
All folders are scanned and added, but I will only start by seeing the "Musikk-TAG"-folder. If I wanna see the rest, I gotto browse them (using the "up" function, and selecting other folders).
Therefore; you should have one folder which includes all music you want MP to have access to... like "My Music"

Fixed, I think.
Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this.

I have been using it For 16 years now (from V1.1.1) and it has worked flawlessly.
I only use TV Series and Moving...
