Cant close programs? (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to close different emulators with girder 3.3. They work outside of mp, but when i launch them in mp i cant close them with my remote. I had it working before, not sure what i did. Any suggestions?

not sure about Girder 3.3 but in the 4.x revision you can bind a specific remote control button to a Windows/Close action. Then select a target application and here you go.
If you wish I can PM my girder conf file. Juts ask.

Yeah i can get the app to close when i launch it. But when i have Mediaportal launch it, the button wont close the application.

Hi Keith

i can't help you exactly with girder, but if you are using a gamepad you can enable in directinput in MP-config.
configuration.exe > Remote > DirectInput
There you can also define button combos for kill process and close process.
It's working fine for me.

create a specific conf. part dedicated to your emulator (i.e. if the emulator process is in foreground then...) where to put your key bindings. If you put it aside from your MediaPortal specific mappings, you won't have an yconflictual binding.

That's what i have set up. It's like MP wont allow girder to use the remote and close it. When i press the button i can hear mp in the background.

Have you tried, perhaps, settting MediaPortal to not always be on top?

Got it! Go to (in mp config) remote - > hauppauge -> check allow external apps to use remote, and check the box under it. I dont remember what the second box was.
