Hi,

I have removed 2 items from the list, but now there are just empty spaces instead of them...

The items are listed for example like this:

ITEM1 ITEM2 ITEM3
ITEM4 ITEM5
ITEM6 ITEM7 ITEM8 ITEM9

Instead of like this:

ITEM1 ITEM2 ITEM3 ITEM4
ITEM5 ITEM6 ITEM7 ITEM8
ITEM9

Or like this:
ITEM1 ITEM2 ITEM3
ITEM4 ITEM5 ITEM6
ITEM7 ITEM8 ITEM9

I saw that the XML file have posX/posY variables, but it a little tricky because each button has a different width and height...
Is there an easy way to re-organize the icons ?

Thanks

It is easier to change the four values for each item as described it the first post instead of “moving it”. Moving it requires to change the X, Y and key navigation for each item, which isn’t that easy.

Maybe you can use https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/black-white-1080p-286/modifications-basichome-48727/ 2 rows as you baseline, and change it according to your preferences

Hi,

I made this little python script to generate basichome.xml easily. You can choose between 2 templates : 2 or 3 rows.

Just put the 3 files in a directory, edit basichomer.py to choose what you want to see in the basic home screen, then launch it. It'll generate a new ready to be used basichome.xml.

I hope it'll help.

Many thanks for this wonderful skin.

Nice change. It is much easier to modify your own Basic Home.
