Change default "view" from shares to defined view? (1 Viewer)

Is there anyway to change My Music to load one of my views by default (i.e. Artists) vs loading the Shares "view" as it does by default now?

Thanks!

Did you have to change a setting to enable that behavior? I always use Artist view and every time I go back into My Music, it always defaults to Shares.

Thanks.

No, I never changed anything. Hmm, this info is written to the Installed dir in the MediaPortal.xml (I think, just the result of a quick scan.) I have an entry called <entry name="startview">133</entry>
which I think is the starting view (it is in the section <section name="music">). Maybe try that (the 133 is a localized string for the view you want to use. 133 is Artist, so it should be OK for you).

I would also like music to start in "Artists" instead of "Shares". I don't want "as last viewed", I want the "root" view of the "Artists" list. how can I get this?

    P.S.
Actually, right now I would prefer to start in the root of "Shares", but since SVN 16263, it starts in last view, even when I have deselected all save and resume options in Music (see attached).
What I would really like is an option to specify which view to start in, if the save & resume options are disabled.

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

Sorry, it's my fault -- I did not notice that you are using MP2. :( MP1 has a separate configuration utility, similar to "TV Server Config". I have tried MP2 only a couple of times, and have never used it seriously. I don't know what MP2 supports with regard to adjusting audio delay, but I do know that all of the adjustments of...

Hi. I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database". Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...

I do have most of my Music tagged with Lyrics and it works with My Lyrics. If I remember correctly, you have to set: <Don't search songs with Lyrics in Music tag>
