Choppy playback on fresh system (1 Viewer)

So, the differences I notice are:
  1. Different video codec.
  2. Force using LAV splitter enabled.
The second difference could be the important one. I'm not sure which splitter was used previously. It might not have been the LAV one.
What options do you have for the splitter setting?
I always used the lavf splitter. I will post the other options tomorrow.
Thanks for helping [emoji3]

Not necessarily. Compare your latest screenshot with the screenshot from the first post. You will see that the "manually select source and splitter filters" option is enabled now, but it wasn't before. So, now you are definitely using LAV splitter. Previously you might not have been (depending on availability of other splitters, and DirectShow merits).

    Sleep well. :)

You're right. But my latest tests with lavf codecs were with this option enabled. So the splitter doesn't seem to be the issue.

    Sweet dreams.... Zzzzzzz

Even with ffdshow I have the same issues.

These are the splitters I have:

I now tried haali media splitter and ffdshow for audio and video. Same issue.

There must be something else wrong. But what?

    Check the latency:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...oubleshooting/Stuttering_Playback#DPC_Latency

Also check your Server/PC loads while playing over the network.
More tips on that page to troubleshoot this.

Checked the load on both systems but al was normal. Checked the other stuff on that page, everything ok.

I can't seem to find any clue on how to solve this. It's driving me nuts.....

Also tested my LAN speed. No issues there...

Also, the issue seems to happen more after start from resume. It will also happen after a restart of the pc, but less frequently.

When testing, sometimes the issue goes away after multiple restarts of mediaportal.
