If this log can be used for something then here it is

AT 23:42 I have tried to turn to a scrambled channel....without luck

I have checked the drivers for the CI card and they are up to date. The settings in DD are, as I beleive OK. In the DD settings I can see the CAM and the incerted card with all information etc.

did it ever work - or better - did you ever had a chance to test it if it's working? I had two problems with my cards - first was that the cable (as it has no nose) for connecting the CAM interface was switched (you need to look at the doke to see where the empty pin has to be) - but as you see the cam in teh DD Setup this should be no issue and second was that the Tuner itself was broken ...

    What I would do:

    - try DVB Viewer if your setup is working. It's a rather straight throug setup.
    - open a call with Digital Devices - they are very helpfull and even are able to connect to your unit via Teamviewer

here some screenshots of my settings:

    crypto1.JPG -> crypto3.JPG and finish with Next.

crypto 4.JPG -> Using Edit -> crypto5.JPG you need to do this for every card you have a CAM. In my case there are two as the DD is a twin tuner.

    Hey pur_berger
Thanks for helping. I have it set up hust like in your screenshots :-/

I will try to call support at DD, to see if they can figure it out. Here is what my screen shots look like compared to yours. Please see the one with the CI Card tab. Its empty.....

If DD support cant help I will try DVB Viewer

strange - I never had a look at this CI Menue in your third creenshot - only the first two and it's fine. The only thing I see - you have only enabled the cam on teh first tuner - so - when the TV server takes the other one ... you should enable it on both.

I will try that when I get home from wotk. the reason the CAm is not enalbled is because this tuner handles the free air channels only. I have only scanned the free channels on this tuner.

But I will try it tonight !

i feel like surrending too... tried version 1.2.3 of mediaportal, but still same results...
tried another tuner + ci, and something changed... now it's the tuner the one that isn't working (y)
buyied the one from Digital Devices, tryied the other couple (tuner pci express and cam connected with ribbon), but still no results.

Thing is, MP now recognize the CI Menu (at least he know what CAM is inserted in the CI), but the tuner cannot "lock" any channel... even if it does "sense" the signal level and quality... any suggestions?

    I have the same problem:

I have a CI Module Octopus Single CI (PCI express) and the
Duo Flex C/T Dual DVB-T Tuner connected with the extention cable and powered.

when I use the tuner without enabling the Common Interface on the tuners
the MediaPortal Software can tune channels and see them (no problems)

if I want to see encripted channels we enable the tuners on the common Interface
using the DVBConfig software and we can see the smarcard menù within the DVBConfig software,
also Mediaportal can see the smarcam menù so the cam and the card works.

but the mediaportal can't tune any channel.

if anyone solve this problem, please tellme..

    thank you in advance
