For me a good skin must be:
1- Totally intuitive, no need of a wiki to use it! to be sure, must be tested, give a remote to a lot of different people (children, old people) see if they are not lost into the menu, sub menu, how they can come back to the previous view, etc...)
2- It is important that the final user has no access to the configuration: imagine MP into each room of an hotel...so a good skin must have an option to desactivate all unnecessary menu (I am thinking that all the actual skins have hidden menu that everybody can access, this is not normal, the hidden menu must be really hidden so that only the administrator can access)
3-Fast, clear.
