Composite recording (1 Viewer)

Some hardware information is needed. Is this an external digital converter box that normally sends its output to a TV, or is it a TV Tuner installed in the computer (or external tuner connected to the USB or Network - which actually wouldn't require any other connection)
I probably wouldn't be able to help in most cases, but a description of your setup may give someone else an idea where to start.
I have an internal TV card which has composite in, and MP can scan for any composite connection on that card, but it wouldn't be able to tune for any channels without a blaster to control the device attached (like a digital converter or older VCR tuner).

Open up TV Server configuration, expand the TV Servers node, expand your TV Server, and then select the analog tuner. You should see something like -->this<--. Select the appropriate country (I guess the USA) and "cable" as source, then click "add s-video channels". On the settings tab select the appropriate settings (I guess NTSC, 29.97 fps, and 720x480). After that, go to the "TV Channels" section and try to preview each of the channels listed there. At least one should work. Let me know once you're at that point...

TV Server plugins are listed on this page, and "EPG Cleaner" can be downloaded from this page.
Note: I don't know what bitness the plugin has. It might be 32-bit, or it might be "any cpu". The plugin is not listed by the "MP Extensions" tool, so I don't know whether it has been tested with the most-recent MP releases.
