Hey guys,

is it possible to include the TV card of my htpc (single seat setup) in another MediaPortal (also single seat setup) using network streaming? Just like embedding a dedicated tv servers stream in MP.

regards

    Hi there :)

So you have two singleseat installations.
    Both got TV cards?
If so, you will havre to use 3rd party software ForTheRecord to combine forces.
If not, you can use MP standard client/server setup.

Yes, both PCs have seperate tv-cards.

So, with ForTheRecord, it's would be possible for me to watch TV from my card and record by using the card from the HTPC via LAN? I already installed it but I can't establish a connection to MediaPortal.

Can you explain me what the program is designed for? I guess it's more than just my case isn't it?
