Connection to remote MP1 TV server (1 Viewer)

I've installed MP2 Client on a machine and was hoping I could connect to an MP1 TV server running on another machine.
Is this now possible? Is there a tutorial somewhere?

No, sorry. The communication with MP2-Server part (where TVE3 runs as plugin) works exclusively over UPnP (and not MP1 known .NET Remoting). Also there is no direct DB access possible.

Only way is to use the MPExtended provider, but this requires additional MPExtended installation.

it's no more possible to edit gentle.config and use MySQL instead of SQLlite ?
it worked few months (year ?) ago, i used it. but few time the service crashed during xmltv import, and scanning.
thread are available for this.

I watch tv in mp1 one over mp2 tv server and my old mysql db of my old mp1 installation. You only have to edit the config.gentle and the db connection of the mp2 tvserver plugin in a text editor and connect to the ip of the mp2 tv server in mp1 config. Don't trust stupid posts, it is possible. In case of using mp1 tvserver and mp2 client it is not possible because of the upnp connection to the timesharing and recording folder.
