Custom Data Grabber including Sky UK Channel/EPG Grabber (4 Viewers)

With last sky italy plugin I now have the problem with modulation for all channels... It's set as qpsk for sd channels and 8 psk2 for hd channels and in this configuration the channels do not work. I have to set all channels to not set to have all the channels work.

can you please when you have time merge your patch with latest SVN? There have been changes on recording schedules and I'm not able to apply it anymore.

I also have an error (tvserver crashes) when trying to update channels (EPG Works fine and also the first scan when the DB is clean works fine). This with you last SkyIT plugin.

Still pretty good, I've been using your plugin just as the EPG grabber for a while, which has been pretty solid.

Still the main issue for me is that by enabling "use sky categories" it decimates my own personal favourites list. it moves the channels out of it to whatever sky group, surely the it should copy them not move or delete channels from other groups.

I find if I add a channel that channel does not get epg updated.. I added ITV HD freesat version so it free up tuner.. Sky are usng DVB-s2 and freesat is dvb-s

I want to write a plug-in that will tune to a certain channel and leave it tuned until an EMM message is received, so the duration would be unlimited, until the correct message is received, at which point I could stop the tune.

Basically I am looking at keeping my entitlements up to date. Currently, when the TV is not being watched (not tuned) then entitlement updates are being missed. So I'm hoping to write a plug-in that can solve this issue.

Does normal TV tune requests have priority over the Custom Data Grabber, or will TV clients get a 'No Free Card' message if I have tuned to a specific channel using the Custom Data Grabber?

If the Custom Data Grabber is in use then it will have that channel until you are finished with it. The clients will indeed get a No free card available.

If you wish to tune to a channel and leave it on that channel, Enable the DVB EPG grabber for that channel, set the timeout to 10 mins, refresh every 11 minutes. It will tune to this channel everytime the tvserver is idle. The EMM's will still be sent and if a tune request is received the EPG grabber is kicked for the channel request.

Have you enabled the freesat channel to update the EPG from Freesat? Sky do not send the EPG Data for freesat channels.

The method I have to use is the reason for this. There is no way of obtaining the groups that a channel belongs to without a labourious search method.

I'll look into adding something into MediaPortal that will assist with this problem.

I'll add an option to leave the modulation to "not set". The information that the plugin sets is the correct information however if it is not working with your TV Card.
