I'm not using MYSQL..

I'm using MSSQL, and I checked in the studio that the database was gone before installing RC.

Edit : according to the log file it is a syntax error when trying to update the database version - I know nowt about SQL really though!

I did say totally remove MediaPortal not just install.

This will delete the database for you.

New files on post 1.

I advise you totally uninstall and delete any databases before installing 1.2.0 RC1.

Once installed. Run the two setup files from the first post, copy the Custom Data Grabber v1.0.0.3 into the TVServer directory. Then place the grabber file of your choice in the plugin directory.

Going to do a full system format.. I tryed windows 7 64bit and it give me loads of probs. No sound some times, Black screen, Standby not working. Very slow to zip hd channels.

Going back to windows 7 32bit.

Do you know if they fixed the windows 7 resize bug.

I use Windows 7 64 bit without any problems.

No they didn't fix the resize issue (I seem to remember they indicate it is intended behaviour) - I use a Gefen HDMI detective to get around the problem. Expensive fix, but it works

Installed tinyvnc and unpluged the htmi cable from the back of the media center and change the res back to 1080p

I did...

I completely removed Mediaportal - also ensured that the database was deleted (which MePo did during the uninstall).

Even deleted all the remaining folders..

I then installed RC and then installed your files. All was fine until the database upgrade.

Hi there,

Looking at the error, its a typo in the code?? The "go" should be a separate sql command (exec SQL: GO)

Maybe its specific to just MS SQL?

Apologies, It looks like the file was saved with an incorrect codepage and removed the carriage return.

This one doesn't give a database error, but crashes right at the end and if you then try to open tv config it also crashes.

ok used your directions and uninstalled mediaportal completely and reinstalled the files off page 1 all went well.

Did a grab using the sky uk grabber and all completed as it should, in 79 seconds !!!!

i have a full epg from the first few pages i checked. incredible plugin!!!

only thing is i have freesat and soon freeview and need fta channels only, is this something that i can achieve at present, i dont yet have the freeview card just the free to air sat card.

no itv1 hd yet just trying extended grab time

update : found itv1 hd scrambled and fta but fta was not ticked.

i can now get itv1 hd in the groups section, hd and entertainment as i added the channel to them but cant get it to show 3rd in the tv guide?

I've uploaded a new Setup file.

Can you totally remove all MediaPortal products then, install RC1 then install the SVN's from the 1st post.
