I have reverted to the SVN and reapplied the patch. It should work now. I think some code sneaked in that I am using on another project.

Doesn't crash, but has the SQL syntax error!

Looks like its working for me know with mysql just scanning channels

Just doing a rescan but first time around got no epg data but channels got sorted.

Should have mentioned that it isn't possible to use media portal for 5 mins after the 1st scan. The grabber sends the data to the Database updater however this will stop if media portal is opened. Just run the scanner again it will import the EPG.

Just thought I would let you know that all is hunky dory here now! It's been rock solid all day so far.. It's a right faff setting everything up again from scratch, but I wanted to be sure I had a clean install!
