and I just don't understand why it plays fine in My Video, but not as Intro from Moving Picture nor from Moving Picture itself.....?????

Activate the debug log for Moving Pictures and run this video file, then post a new thread attaching the log so Moving Pictures developers can have a look at it. This problem sounds like not associated with "intro movie" feature. Good luck mate.

FWIW, I've had the same problem as Landshark when trying to use this feature. The mpg file just spits out an audio codec error and starts playing the movie...

How big (file size) is your custom intro? If its small, maybe you could attach it or email it to me and I can take a look. Sounds like a codec issue to me though.

I thought 'bout codec issue too as it error msg said. however, I've tried different audio codec (ffdshow, PowerDVD, ac3filter, etc.), still no play before a movie start. but all had no problem to play in My Video tho.....
