Here is another test program for the iMon HID devices... with the button translations added... please run the test and post the log.

If anyone has the iMon HID device and an MCE remote... please test this (and indicate that you are using an MCE remote).

Thanks.

Cybrmage did you see my post about icons on the previous page? Did I have different icons for each section before?

The screen sequence is helpful to know what is displayed... but I need to know what the driver is doing internally... please post the mediaportal.log file.

Cybrmage did you see my post about icons on the previous page?

    Yes, I did see your previous post... I just figured that I would ignore it for the moment, as I've been rather busy because some people like to constantly complain about the iMon PAD remote not working nicely... and I've been trying to program a solution.... 8-}

Did I have different icons for each section before?

What do you mean... Your question is ambiguous and I don't really understand what you are asking...

In the icon editor, there are two icon sets available.... the "internal" icons (that are used when "use custom large icons" is not selected) and the "custom" icons (which are used when "use custom large icons" is selected)... If the icon display panel (the 10 icon blocks at the bottom of the editor screen) are blank (the same color as the background) then you have not loaded an icon set. so click on the "custom" button that is to the right of the icon edit window... this will load the currently defined custom icons (they will be the same as the internal icons if you have not previously saved any changes)., and a representation of them will appear in the icon display panel. Then click on the icon that you want to change... The icon edit box will be enabled and populated with the icon you selected. You can then use the edit window to draw your icon. Once you have the icon the way you want it, click on the "save" button in the icon window. The icon will be saved to the icon display panel at the bottom of the screen (but NOT to the custom icon file)... Once you have edited all the icons that need to, click on the save button at the bottom of the screen, and the icons that are displayed in the icon display panel will be saved to the custom icon file. You can only have one custom icon set at any given time. If you want to save a set of icons as a backup, copy the CybrDisplay_iMONLCDg_icons.xml file (in the MediaPortal directory) before you do any editing.

    I see a strange behaviour:

It's not strage... it's normal (as you have "blank display with video" enabled)... The messages are just left-over logging from the debug process...

Equaliser enabled causes MP crash after playing DVD

    Hi,

I've been having trouble recently when playing DVDs using the internal MP player, and I've traced it to the equaliser setting in CybrDisplay. I have an iMon VFD display (iMon Manager 7.01.0205 (Silverstone) / Firmware 0x30) and am using the Soundgraph driver in CybrDisplay.

When playing a DVD (mounted .iso file using DaemonTools), the video plays fine, however, the VFD display goes blank. On finishing playback (pressing stop, and going back to the My Videos), the HDD thrashes for a second or two, then MP quits unexpectedly.

I've installed the latest version of CybrDisplay and a fairly recent SVN of MediaPortal (details, I presume, will be in the attached log files).

I was able to stop this behaviour by hitting the reset button on the Advanced configuration page of the CybrDisplay configuration window. Stepping through the settings I had there, one by one, I narrowed it down to having the equaliser enabled. Turning this off makes the problem go away. Enabling causes the crashes to occur again. The crashes are slightly intermittent (99% of the time it crashes, very occasionally it won't, but the VFD display doesn't recover until a restart of MP).

Attached is a logfile for the last time I ran MP with the equaliser enabled in CybrDisplay config, followed by a crash.

This is not urgent for me (I'm quite happy to live without the equaliser display), but hopefully it helps with debugging.

    Cheers,

    Rob.
