cthibs:
Which problem??? The second line doesn't display properly, or the "test display" button doesn't work, or both?

Tide:
No... The extra screenshot is not absolutely required....
Can you try disabling the "USB Composite Device" under USB in control panel... if the iMon HID device disappears, then post a screenshot.... if not, don't worry about it posting a screenshot, instead please open the "HID Keyboard Device" and "HID Mouse Device" and post the device strings for them.

I have translated the HID data into a usable form... the HID device returns the same data, for the green and red keys, as the old iMon device, just through a different interface.... Hopefully I'll have a driver ready for and-81 to compile into a test app soon

Ok.. your point C) describes what the mouse pad does with manager running.... what does it do without it running... does moving the mouse pad move the cursor in notepad??? does moving the mouse pad mouse the mouse pointer??? I'm still not crear on what the mouse pad does...

New Screenshots

I could not figure out how to disable the device so I had to take the "instead please open the "HID Keyboard Device" and "HID Mouse Device" and post the device strings for them." route.

I have enclosed those screenshots as well as a flash video showing and hopefully describing what the mouse stick and keyboard/mouse button do.

Keep in mind this video was shot with iMon manager running not the HID test. In the HID test the keyboard/mouse button is recognized but has no effect on the mouse stick movement (going from mouse type oeration to keyboard arrow type operation).

I am not really sure it even should have any effect yet but I don't want it to get lost in all of this. It is a nice feature.

The screenshots are fine. thanks.

The swf file is empty... doesn't show anything....

I already know how the mouse pad works in mouse and keyboard mode... I have an iMon Pad remote (FINALLY got the replacement for the DOA remote that shipped with my Mocaso 932!!)...

I need to know what it does WITHOUT iMon manager running!!! What does the pad do when you have notepad running (and focused)???????

Hi cybrmage,

Thanks for your help.
I still have same problems with the display of the second line and with the test button.
But if the test button doesn't work, it's not really a problem for me.

Hello Cybrmage,

Did you find something that might fix my "dark" LCD display? I replied in an earlier message, regarding LCDHype versions etc. A quick fix that might work and hopefully won't give you much trouble would be a version of the plugin that doesn't do anything to brightness/contrast of my display...

Kind reagards,
Stefanos

Tide (and anyone else that has an HID iMon device)

After going over the information provided by Tide, I have created a test program for the iMon HID devices (It is based on the Custom HID test program by and-81)... Please test it out and report the results.

Download the attached zip file and extract it to a temporary directory.... Make sure that the iMon Manager is NOT running! run the "iMon HID Receiver.exe" program. YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE THE IR SERVER SUITE INSTALLED FOR THIS TEST PROGRAM. In the configuration dialog, make sure that "enable remote", "enable keyboard" and "enable mouse" are selected. test the buttons and mouse pad on the remote... then post the iMonHIDReceiver.log file that the test program will create.

Thanks.

New Test Results

I have already deleted the swf video I made. After reading your response it would not have mattered.

You asked "I need to know what the mouse pad does in both the HID test program and/or the notepad without the manager processing any data. does the Keyboard/Mouse button change the function of the mouse pad when the manager is not running??"

When with HID on iMon Manager off you get this:
The keyboard/mouse button is recognized by the HID test. However, it has no effect on the mouse stick as it would if iMon manager was running. If you have Notepad open along with HID test and you hit the keyboard/mouse button the mouse stick will still stay in mouse function even though you have hit keyboard/mouse and it has been recognized by the HID test.

I am trying your new files now. I should have an answer for you in a few minutes.

Results

Here are my results. I pressed the buttons in the same order I did in previous tests.

The keyboard/mouse button is still functioning as it did with the old HID test. That is it is recognized by the new HID test as well but it has no effect on the mouse stick in Notepad (Mouse Stick stays in Mouse Mode).

I left all the settings alone on the 3 config tabs.

Tide: Please run the test again... this time, click on each tab and make sure that "enable keyboard" and "enable mouse" are checked.

Thanks.
