Hi all,

Just want to share my installing experience with you all.

I had a little trouble setting up the system on my Windows 7 HTPC.
I found out that the latest Version 0.97.0 did not contain the channel-tv.xml (damnit).
I found channel-tv.xml in the eairler Version 0.92.

Also an important note for you people that setup Task scheduler for Windows 7
In the start in path don't use qoutes (") at all.
Vista Task Scheduler can't run OK *.BAT file - Vista Forums

I am now able to make a tvguide.xml file with the tool and run it via the task scheduler but my mediaportal is still blank in EPG.
I cannot figure out where I went wrong. Maybe it will work tomorrow.

You need to open the webReader.jar inside windows and select what channels you want in your channels-tv.xml file. When you press ok it generates the channels-tv.xml file.
If the channels-tv.xml is present when you open the webReader.jar it is rips DR.
If you want a new channels-tv.xml file, just delete the old one and open webReader.jar inside windows. :)

Well the grapper is setup corectly. I found that the issue was that my mysql database was broken.
I followed the guide below and that solved my issue:
Mediaportal: Repair broken EPG (Corrupted Table) | Lars Michelsen

Hey.

My DR EPG (used in Win Mediacenter) has recently started not showing any program-details for a lot of my programs after 21:00-22:00 and until the next morning. Just says "no information available"

Is it DR not giving informations about late programs/movies anymore or is it something in my computer going wrong?

Regards Allan B

I am seeing the same thing, but only for danish TV2. All programs after midnight for today are missing. Tomorrow and the following days are OK.

I have been using this for a few years now with minor problems only. All of a sudden it has stopped working. It exits right away.

    Error log:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException
    at webreader.DRtalk.getParsedAvailableBroadcastDates(DRtalk.java:361)
    at webreader.DRtalk.getUsefulBroadcastDates(DRtalk.java:318)
    at webreader.Main.main(Main.java:219)

Am I the only one having these problems?

Ok, that is good to know (... well not really ...). I have ping'ed Rune on his Email. Perhaps he can shed some light on what is happening. Perhaps DR just changed their format - I guess this is the big risk of using grappers like these.

    Same problem here.....

I agree with SoerenB, maybe this is the big risk of using grappers like these. But do someone have any proposals, can't live without an EPG......
Just started investigate, ontv.dk. Any of you with experience in this area?

I am considering ontv.dk for the moment. It is a commercial solution but not all that expensive. I fear a lynch mob if the recorder is offline during X-mas ;)
