Directx problem (1 Viewer)

I just installed media portal and when I start the program (after I configured it) it hand up on a blue screen saying "initializing directx"

I tried to uninstall and then reinstall. I still have the same problems

Please post your system specs. Most likely you are having too old GPU that doesn't support all the needed features.

There are some things very important like tourettes mentioned.
Have you got the newest version of Directx9c (November 2008)?
Have you got the graphic card with DirectX9 support?
Have you got the newest driver for your graphic card?
In some cases can help using "EVR" mode in the MP Settings (MPConfiguration/DirectShowFilterControl/VideoRendererSettings/choose EVR.

EVR is affecting only when user start a video playback, not during the startup / GUI.
