Disable Delete Function in MP (4 Viewers)

Is it possible to disable or hide the delete function within MP? (i.e. delete picture, delete movie).

I do not want any friend to delete a file.

Just personal opinion here,
but the OS (rather than individual apps) should deal with access rights

Just restrict what the windows user than MP runs on can do
you can disable deleting of certain files / folders in the security tab of explorer

Disable the file menu in configuration.exe, it's in the general section somewhere.

Thank you guys,
disabling the file menu does not change that option. Going via access rights might be a way, but it would be nicer if the disabling of the file menu would work.

Hi.. I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if there was a way to disable this while in MP as well (now since it's more mature)

Reason being MePo is usually always loaded on my HTPC, but my little 9 month old daughter managed to get her hands on the keyboard and press afew thing. it only took her 10sec to wipe an entire TV series in the TV series plugin.

If you don't write any new files to the drive with the erased series, there is a good change getting those files back using NTFSundelete 0.93 or PC Inspector File Recovery (install them onto a different drive like an usb stick).
