I'm still trying to find the best setting which seems not to be as easy as it was for HTPCSourcer.
Anyway I won't give up and provide logs soon. What makes the whole thing tricky is the fact that the lag differs from channel to channel
and even from program to program (due to different resolutions).
I'm thinking about ways to automatically adjust 'SlowPlay' dynamically, but it's not as easy as it sounds....
So an automatic adjustment would in deed need to be dynamically.

Don't worry about the logs for now :)

I'm surprised the playback speed on your PC varies with video resolution etc. but all you need to do is find a setting that works for the 'slowest' channel. It doesn't really matter if playback runs a bit slower than necessary for the other channels - all that happens is that the timeshift buffer gets a bit larger (and you get a few more repeated video frames etc.).

I've done some of the work for the automatic adjustment, so it's coming....

Unfortunately I still perceive some short interruptions, but it's much, much less frequent than before. Also, I have not made any effort to optimize settings, therefore I am confident that this will be resolved shortly.

Hey @Owlsroost, thanks again for your work. Looks like its working good here so far - at least better as I had it for a long time. Automatic adjustment would be simply perfect, eagerly waiting for stuff to test.

Another feature request maybe: it seems like, that due to my hardware connection (SPDIF to AV-Receiver) I have a standard-delay from audio to video. So a setting (in registry?!) for adjusting this delay would be great (e.g. -20ms).

Well that was just a guess to explain why I have problems with one program on a certain channel and not with the program afterwards on the same channel...

OK - first version of TsReader.ax with automatic adjustment of play speed attached.

This has a new registry value 'EnableAutoSpeedAdjust' with settings of:

0 = auto adjust off, use 'SlowPlayInPPM' registry value to set fixed slow down amount
1 = auto adjust on, slow down only allowed
2 = auto adjust on, slow down and speed up allowed (this is the default/initial value)

    Have fun ;)

Great, thanks for your effort! (y)
Doing a first test with my most problematic channel at the moment.
How long does it take till tsreader has adjusted?
