DVB-S2 doesn't find Premiere HD (4 Viewers)

I have problems scanning for HD channels with my NOVA-HD-S2 card. It says no signal for every S2 frequency. I am using Thor 0,8W and Sirius 5E. I am using the latest hauppauge driver(dated 23.01.2007....), and the latest TVEngine3. Is it so that this should work now?

scanning for dvb-s2 channels works for me on Astra19.2°E with my NOVA-HD-S2.
have you enabled the "use special tuning parameters for dvb-s2" in the scan section ?

Yes, and I have also tried every hauppauge drive I can find(but they are alle the same...)

Same Problems with Pinnacle 452 HDTV USB Pro

Hi,

I have the same problems using my Pinnacle Card.
Further on i don't have the entry Astra 19.2 HD in the Autotune dialog.
Using the normal Atsra satellite does not show any HD channels.

And where can I set the advanced dvb-s2 scanning option?!

Can anybody post the correct channel setting for the HD channels so I can add the channels manually?

dvb-s2 is ONLY working with MediaPortal TV-Server!

I have the problem that I only cannot scan the premiere HD frequency. The other HD channels works fine! In DVBViewer Pro i found all HD channels incl. Premiere HD and Discovery HD. It seems to be a problem with mediaportal.

I use the Hauppauge Nova-HD-S2 card.

well.
i just fired up the MediaPortal TV-Server and run a scan on Astra 19.2°E HD with my Nova-HD-S2.
and it found all channels.
so i dare to say that there is no problem in MediaPortal

so my questions are:

1. do you use the MediaPortal TV-Server?
2. have you enabled the "dvb-s2 tuning parameters" in the scan dialog window?
3. have you selected Astra 19.2 HD to scan?

works like a charm for me. are the Nova drivers up to date?

you can also import the xml file i posted above and map the channels to your card.

on the other hand your TV-Card has no CI, so even if you can tune the channels that wont help you since you cant place your subscribtion card anywhere.

if you try to watch it without a vaild subscription card -> forgett it.

I have driver "2.119.25023" from 23.01.2007. I have seen that there is a new driver from 17.12.2007 (2.121.25351). Have you this one?

I would like to see premiere hd with the WinTV-CI USB. But when the i cannot tune the channel i don`t buy it.

Edit: I forgot: I running Vista Home Premium...
