DVB-S2 doesn't find Premiere HD (3 Viewers)

so my questions are:

1. do you use the MediaPortal TV-Server?
2. have you enabled the "dvb-s2 tuning parameters" in the scan dialog window?
3. have you selected Astra 19.2 HD to scan?

I have the same problem, no channels found.
I assume when you say "have you enabled the "dvb-s2 tuning parameters" in the scan dialog window?" you mean the check box "enable DVB-S2 tuning features" on the LNB setup page? (See image supplied image)

and if you import the xml file i attached earlier, you can see that i have no troubles with scanning Astra 19.2°E HD, with my NOVA-HD-S2.

do you guys have all the MS hotfixes installed which i added to the requirements in the wiki?

I have all the updates and hotfixes installed as far as I know. The Nova HD card is using Win-TV CD 4.0 drivers which where updated in Sept I beleive. I get all the Sky HD channels fine so I assume I should be able to get all the others as well.

Oh well, its time to leave it for a while before I throw it out of the window

Did everything you suggested!
I have the latest Version of MP an TV Server - everything checked, but my Pinnacle won't shwo any HD channels.
I am also using a Phillips HDTV receiver without any problem - so installation (SAT, LNB) mut be correct.

No offence DEVELOPERS - MP is really cool. After my friends saw my PC and MP at work they all changed to a HTPC solution

sounds like they do something special in their BDA drivers then

do a scan on the sat you get dvb-s2 from, then attach those to your bugreport and pm dman_lfc who maybe has a clue how to get it working. (we do not own every available TV-Card to test )

well, you use the Hauppauge Nova-S2 and the Hauppauge USB-CI you said?

as i allready posted befor, i have not heard from anyone until today who got that USB-thingy working, so i cant help you with that :sorry:


all i can say for sure is that it works nicely with the floppy-s2 + Alphacrypt cam + Premiere smartcard
which is the proper way to watch it

It works with the last svn Version! I found all HD Channels.

Thanks for your tip with the USB-CI. I try to buy the combination that you prefer.

hi there...once I made a scan and got premiere hd and disconvery hd...then I tried again and nothing was found...I madelike 56scans....only15 channels...no premiere the premiere tp says no signal
windows vista+latest svn+hvr4000(latest drv 88x_2_122_26109_WHQL) NOTHINGFOUND
I THINK that tv server is not so stable...sometimes it finds different channes---does it depend on the time o the day?I'm about to give up

how about sharing info about your tv-cards, etc. ?

i did a scan yesterday on Astra 19.2°E HD with my Hauppauge Nova S2 HD and guess what?
it found all channels including the Premiere channels.
