I just back something related to focus but when debugging, it seems that it cause an error, this is why i comment out that part in core6.
Let's see if it change something about render time and locked up

Thanks. I just got in and tried to start TV with v6 and MP locked up. PC had been left on, not in standby (probably doesn't make any difference, but wanted to be clear).

I'm afraid v7 locked up when trying to start watching the same programme as with v6 (actually with v6 I tried to watch live and with v7 I tried play recording from beginning).

Just tried with the original core.dll and no lock up playing recording from beginning with that.

I think it's related to timing, with this core (patched) i connect filter between them and maybe it's too quick or slow and something happen, could you try with another codec ? like LAV Video, to see if it's PDVD that show up something with this king of connection.

In both log, i didn't see log about starting to play with codec, it freeze before.
IIRC, when you try in debug it didn't happen.
Can you try also to disable all third party plugins ?
I can't reproduce the locked up here. It's hard to see why it happen for you but i hope that we can find why

I can see that @ the same time/moment was related to timeshift.

Also for testing, i have compiled the plugin based on core_v7, maybe it can change something

I'll do some tests with Debug mode and normal mode with plugins disabled and different codec with core v7 tomorrow
