Oh and by the way you can manually fix the problem and get epg data for the channels by using the manual edit option to set the channel name. You will also have to fill in the "NetworkId" field which you can probably find by taking a look at one of the channels that has been found correctly. I did this with Film4 (channel 4 NetworkId ) and now have full epg for it...

Andy, thanks for the tip. I have now filled in all the details, so now let's wait and hopefully the EPG data will come in.

I sent a pm to infinityloop last week, to ask him what needs to happen next to get it into Mantis. It is a bit pointless reporting bugs when they don't get picked up.

got the same problem here in sweden with one mux (570000 MHz) with my FireDTV... These channels are searched in with strange names and is saved as FTA... Too bad these are scrambled, so i can't add them manually and get it working =/

Worked before, until i reformatted an reinstalled the tv-server... Tried several different SVNs and reformatted again, but i doesn't help...

I don't know after witch svn this problem came up...

Hope this bug will be fixed soon, i can't use tve2 because i don't have an antenna-cable to my htpc, just for the server =(

As Sci Points out I tracked this back in March (recompiled/ran many svn's myself) and posted originally here

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/tvserver_channel_scan_broken_rev_12899_sectiondecoder-t21258.html

It seemed to get ignored though so I PM'd the coder who made the changes to no avail, so then I reposted in a diff bug forum as linked by you above. I hoped with a bug report that in depth it would get looked at :( I'm sticking with 0.2.2.0 til a new release, no point hunting bugs if no ones fixing em. I would've tried fixing it myself but couldn't even compile the c++ module without systax errors, not sure what version compiler was originally used so gave up.
