I was curious if there is a way to make Media Portal play DVD ISO's without mounting them or anything. Currently they aren't even showing up in my movies list.

You need to add .iso into your Movie Extensions within MP config. And to answer your question, only mountable through Daemon which is done automatically anyway (see MP Config General Settings).

Yup. You also want to turn off 'Secure Mode' otherwise Daemon will ask you whether you want to play the cd/dvd everytime MP mounts it.

I was just about to ask about that! :) Also... I have like several movies backed up. Garfield the movie the preview work the menu works and everything but the main movie doesn't have a picture. Cloverfield works perfect. Not sure whats going on here... Maybe I need to install a DVD codec but then why does Cloverfield work? I have CoreAVC installed right now.

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

Install it again, x86 and x64 have different repositories and often have different versions of the accompanying files.

I'm running 2.5 with the WMC skin. I have .mp4 files, along with the related .srt files in the same folder. I can watch the movies just fine. In past versions of MP, like 2.4x, I could press the More Info button on my remote twice, and on the second press, an option for showing/choosing the subtitles was listed. I'd select the...
