Hi!

Ok, here is some more information:

Capture Card: WinTV PVR-350
Driver: Latest from shspvr.com 1.8.22170 (tried original haupauge driver before: pvr250_18_22035.exe)
MediaPortal: 0.0.0.13
WMPlayer: 9
OS: W2K SP4 on the MP-PC, W2K SP4 and WinXP SP1 on "convert"-PC

I will try a fresh WinXP SP2-Installation this evening. If this is working, I am afraid I have to upgrade to WinXP :(

    Hmm specs look aok.

    My CLDUMP.AX version - 3.0.0.3322
    MPGMUX.AX version - 5.0.0.727
    Do they match?

Otherwise try the latest application link...

As for WMP playing back DVR-MS files you need an update...

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...2E-60EA-4ED9-BC68-E93C9E65C58E&displaylang=en - Windows XP only I believe.
Or Windows Media Player 10 should do it.

Though it may be that it is a WinXP requirement thing. Let us know.

Oh and one more thing, to easily cut our adds then I find VirtualDubMod great for this especially if you're converting to DivX afterwards then the deinterlace filters etc can be used nicely.

I've downloaded the RAR file at the location DMAN posted but it doesn't seem to contain the Cyberlink DirectShow filters (MPGMUX.AX & CLDUMP.AX).

Should they explictly appear in the RAR or are they installed by the SETUP.EXE?

    Thanks in advance,
    dp

open the file with winrar. there you see a directory called DTV. change to this directory and look for the file called data1.cab. double-click on it in winrar and you will see the magic files!

I can't get this to work!!!

I've configured the graph exactly as indicated.

The graph begins to run and produces an MPG output file but... it never finishes. Not slow... it just never finishes!

After I stop GraphEdit (which I have to do by killing the non-responding process!) I can play the MPG file but it has no audio!

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks,
    dp

PS: File was created using a PVR-250 if that matters at all.

    Hi!

So I've tested WinXP SP2 yesterday - and what should I say? - IT WORKS!

    The interesting thing is:

My MediaPortal-PC runs under W2K SP4 (+ the dlls for dvr-ms from WinXP-SP1) and everything works fine: Record from TV, playing records, etc. Only the conversation into MPEG does not work!

So you can run your MP under W2K for recording, watching tv and everything else, but you MUST HAVE WinXP to convert the files into MPEG!

Thanks a lot to everybody who tries to help - I hope this might help others, too.

    dp,

Provide more info of your system please.
As Snoopy poined out WinXP is the way to go if you're on W2k.

Again more information please - don't be shy.

Can you playback the file in GraphEdit?
Can you playback the file in WMP?
Do both of the methods above have audio?
Can you post a screenshot of my method?
Have you tried multiple capture files?
What version of MP are you running?
Do your file versions match mine (see earlier post)?
Are you capturing content through the tuner or the analogue inputs?
    What size is the file?

And any other information which may help...

I cannot see in the dark without a flashlight.

    DMAN.
