And it works, also on a other PC. But the quality from the Divx is really bad, when I see the original dvr file.

going crazy, why doesnt work that with mpg?

*edit: works also not really, audio and video are asynchron , after convert.

You don't have to install - just grab the filters from the cab file.

Is there no way in MP to record directly as mpeg in the first place ?

i´ve got the latest beta of gucky62´s burner plugin. With this its possible to convert dvr-ms to mpg in mp. All you have to do is to register 2 codecs with a command-line tool (doubleclick) and then select your tv-shows and say start (I converted a 30 minutes show in ca. 15 minutes while i was watching it). That means you can convert in background while you use your mp like always.

I put the converted files to dvd-lab to make a dvd (works like a charm) then i try to burn it with nere - no problems.

Gucky62 told me that he will try to post a beta on this weekend.

How did you get hold of this plugin. It sounds like it does exactly what I need. It would be nice to have the plugin burn direct to DVD as well though.

Gucky62 is a friend of me and i always "beta-test" his new plugins.
This i a very early version of his burner-plugin. For the future he plans to put a lot of more features like cutting videos and of course he plans the possiblility to converting to a dvd-conform style (but this features need some time). At the moment i am very happy that the converting works so great.

I´m sorry that i can´t post a test-version. The reason is that he made a "special" mp-version for me to testing. I will try this evening at home on two other PCs. When it works gucky will post a test-version this weekend in the german forum.

When he posted his beta in the german forum, of course i will post the link here directly.

ATM, I am trying to get information, which of the buttons will be fully functional in the first version.
Nero will be a requirement on the htpc.

Tried the same thing with dvd-lab after converting with graphedit and it always gaves me a "GOP out of memory" error.
No chance to burn a DVD.
I needed to demux with ProjectX and then use dvd-lab then it worked.

Did you do a similar thing?
