oh,ya still on 1.17 version, i overlooked that.
but i also had exactly this problem with classic profile the other day...but it works again here after i changed it back once more

And do we need to activate HID at all?

I have to activate HID, my keyboard doesent work else. Both en full and classic profile

My keyboard is a logitech K400 if that helps

Well, so maybe it's just a matter of correcting mapping to fix the problem?

Search gave me this 1.11.x - Generic HID Remote
Note2: Numbers, backspace, ESC, dot, sharp, enter and direction arrows, even when issued from your remote, do not go through the HID handler, they go through the classic keyboard handler, so you want to take a look at your keyboard key mapping rather than your remote key mapping.

the "Enter" button no longer works

There are some applications that steal keystrokes and/or button presses. Two that come to mind are Chrome and iTunes, but there may be others. Do you have either Chrome or iTunes installed on your system?

Try 'classic' profile making sure 'Use HID keyboard' is disabled.
Looks like I need to update the documentation.
