Hi
Just updated to 0.5.0.1 and I'm having an issue using WebGrab+Plus in the Uk

When I first start EPG Buddy and use website preselection it seems fine and I can choose multiple websites including radiotimes.com and uk-sky.com.

However, after fiddling with the sites if I try re-enabling radiotimes.com it is not listed but instead I get SITEINI_NAME in the Website- selection drop down instead which gives an error/exit when chosen and then pressing the Show button

How do I enable radiotimes.com again in the Website- Selection drop down?
Thanks
David

    Hi.
I just encountered this already too. It's a bug but I didn't find the time to fix it up to now. You can workaround this by adding some sites (no matter wich one) to the list, preferable some that are earlier listed (alphabetically). One or two should be enough. After doing so you should be able to see your wanted site (among the variable name and probably other sites) in the list...

    Hi.
New version 0.5.0.4 can be downloaded from the known sources (link in first post)
Some issues in dropdown lists are fixed and an issue with the combination of ComedyCentral and Viva due to Viva no longer airing are resolved too.
I recommend to install the new version and run the main program at least once. Then all known issues should be gone..

Hey you must think that I should not post this here, but I'm still using WMC. MediaPortal is really great and I used it for a while until I got my hands on a HDHomeRUN combined with WMC, and those two rocks together!

What about adding to EPG-Buddy the possibility of exporting to WMC database ? EPG Collector does that, but that program is not able to read listing from websites.

    Hi.

As far as I know there already is a way to do this. Don't know how to do so, as I don't use WMC since ages. The import into the TV program is out of scope for EPG-Buddy and must be done by an XMLTV plugin. This is available for nearly any TV solution but probably named slightly different.
EPG Collector also creates XMLTV compatible files, so you most likely can use the same way to import the EPG-Buddy data. The main difference is that EPG Collector grabs the aired DVB and ATSC EPG data that most often is not that rich and detailed than the data grabbed from online sites like tvguide.com... But the result of both is an XMLTV compatible tvguide.xml file. This file may be named different on EPG Collector but should have similar content... As you can name the output as you like inside EPG-Buddy this most likely should work without further fiddling...

Aside this a quick search on Google for WMC and XMLTV will most likely show you several ways to achieve what you want...

I think @Lehmden explained the differences. Basically EPGBuddy makes a TVGuide.xml file that MediaPortal reads in using XMLTV plugin. I'm not sure why you'd want Windows Media Center guide data (I'm surprised it is still being supported and it's out there) but I think you can use mc2xml
and the XMLTV plugin described elsewhere to use that guide data in MediaPortal.
It may go without saying that you mentioned HDHomeRUN, but none of this will work with that system as their guide data is closed with HDHomeRUN's software. And getting mc2xml to work with WMC seems unlikely as well. I could be misunderstanding what you're trying to do though.

Then you also can use EPG-Buddy together with XMLTV 2 MXF. EPG-Buddy is easier to configure, faster a lot and has much more comfort functions than WebGrab+ but delivers exact the same XMLTV file than WebGrab+ does...

Neither does WebGrab... Both are generating XMLTV files. Converting to mfx is the job of XMLTV 2 MXF, exactly as the name suggests...
