EPG Downloader Service for TV Server ONLY (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Sorry to ask, if it is already answered somewhere else, but I have been through the forums and cannot find the help I need.

I have MP, with a separate TV Server and clients, in SE, with Canal Digital. I wish to use the EPG Downloader Service, which has installed with no issue.

What I cannot figure out and have been through the tv.swedb.se site, is what URL, per channel, to add so the service will grab all the available files for each channel for all dates available.

So far I have tested trying it with one channel with one date , but this is not the way I think you all have it configured.

How can I configure it this way, please to grab all program information, by channel, regardless of the dates in the file name ?

Read the complex url section in the setup.pdf in the program files directory for EPG downloader. It has the the exact example for setting up tv.swedb.se. It is a complex URL.

Just wondering if anyone has this working with MP 1.0.0.0 yet? I am connecting to the database and downloading the data ok but nothing is appearing in the guide (no data available). I've deleted all my databases in sql express and done a fresh reinstall of MP and reistalled the downloader, but I still can't get any data to show in the guide. It was working fine before I upgraded.

Forget it, I re-generated the xml file and ran the program again, all good now.

Works fine here..... just make sure you are connecting to the right database and not an old one. Each release of MP has used a different database name for TV Server. For 1.0 Final, it's MpTvDb.

Exactly what I needed as I have a standalone server and cannot use WebEPG.

It took a while to set up, especially since the MP installer does not install SQL Server management Studio express but after that, once I got all the exclamation marks correct, everything worked like a charm.

I need HELP. I have been trying in the past few days with all different settings but still getting noway. My current settings are (Test login is successful)

EAccessViolation

In general everything works just fine with the MP Web Interface.
I have EPG up-to-date with nice logos and a lot of description.
And can remote control the MP.

But I am experiencing some problems. According to my research nobody seems to have had a similar problem in the past.

1) EPG Refresh
On the Webfront-end I click EPG Refresh and it causes always the same message:
EPG Failed with the following error:EAccessViolation

2) On the Webfront-end I have seen today another (similar) message.
But can't tell if anyhow related to the above and can't reproduce as well.

Access violation at address 006E274B in module 'MPWebInt.exe'. Write of address 00C4D410

3) Service shut down
Not always reproduceable. Change from GUIDE to RECORDED! shuts down the service.
Need to correct my statement, that this is any better in version previous to Web 0.6.0.14

Error in Downloading

Hi,

This looks to be a great add on for the MP TV-Server. I succeded to implement the all of it including the mapping phase. I have tryed the tv.swedb.se site and I also get the channels back. But when I try to download I get the error "2009-03-01 12:14:41 - EPG Downloader could not connect to TV Server database: Error=[AnyDAC][Comp][Clnt]-340. Driver ID is not defined.
Set TADConnection.DriverName or add DriverID parameter to your connection definition"

What have I missed ??
