OK. It/I failed. I extrated the dll int the right folder (it is confusing because they giove you a zip file with numerous files in it but then tell youto just put the dll in the folder) Did that. configured the plug in, went to the Zap2it line up (in the MP config) clicked refresh, saw my line up, clicked load, loaded it, clicked save. That would error out sometimes, but go it to work. The opened MP and my guide was blank. Nothing imported, no info or line ups... i was like , although i expect these things when I am using dev software. so what gives? I am tempted to reinstall everything and start from scratch, but give me some guidance almighty MPeezers nice name huh?
make sure on the first start to check the box that says force update on next MP start and then start MP and let it be for a little while. Becuase this plugin runs nearly invisible you cant tell that its downloading when it is. This download could take some time finish (thats why it helps to also check the box that will give you updates on when it has finished or failed). I have it set to download 7 days worth of data and it sometimes takes 20 minutes on the first time but then you never notice it again!
I did check that box, I saw it the very firt time. IF this fails 2nite i am just going to try reinstall it tomorrow. I may have changed somehting i was not supposed to when playing with the xmltv from SF. About extracting the .dll from the zip, that is the only file right The zip contained main files/folders, but every read me i saw said only get the .dll.
Yes, just the dll file is all you need.
Verify you are using the correct version of the plugin for either
the MP stable release or SVN.
Like NeoLuddite said, remember to let it be a little while for the first update.
Actually until you are sure everything is setup correctly, set it to only
get one days worth of data so things move faster for you.
If you are still having problems please post your epg.log file after an update.
Also you may want to post you mediaportal.log file too.
Both are located in the MediaPortal log folder.
