Sorry for being so naïve but how do I setup my guide with MP 2? I have subscription to Schedules direct but I don't see an obvious way to import guide data in the tv setup.
Hi.
There are many ways to get EPG data. Some hints how to do can be found in our Wiki. TV Guide Setup - EPG
Most of the time the data is needed in the so called "xmltv" format. Then the xmltv plugin of the TV Engine can handle those data easily. For Schedules Direct there are some guides in the forum.
But there is a free and easy to use alternative to Schedules Direct. For USA/Canada/Mexico you can use tvguide.com as data source. It's free of charge. You only need to register on their site and configure your lineup. Then you can use EPG-Buddy (link in my signature) to grab and import your EPG data from tvguide.com without a need to fiddle with config files.
I'm downsizing my big honkin' HTPC case to a mini PC, which means the tried and true Hauppauge Colossus card that bridges the set top box into Mediaportal needs replaced with a different solution.
I currently have HDMI from the STB to the colossus. Mediaportal is controlling the STB through a USBUIRT blaster and the blaster is...

Most (all?) small PC cases accept only ITX motherboards, which have only one PCI-E slot. So you could install only one PCI-E tuner card. A quad-tuner card would give you four tuners, but if you wanted more tuners you would need to use the TBS eight-tuner card, or use external tuners, either USB tuners (available with single or dual...

I really happy with the way it works, although I can think of many great features I'd...
Hi CyberSimian (and others) just a bit along the coast from me (near Exeter) - I know you are very long-standing!
Not going to make this long winded or anything, but just to point out over the @15 years I've overall donated several hundred quid. And I begrduge NONE of it, not a penny - I do wish MP well - 100%. It is an awesome...

Hi there,
since I changed TV and HTPC's CPU, I'm wondering if this guide:
Guide
could be considered still good today, since it's been almost 13 years since then and it's still referring to a resolution of 1080p?
I say this because I have a new Panasonic 4K HDR TV, and with that settings, even if I have an old Gygabyte GPU (bought...

It's getting weirder.....
If I remove all the IP cards in the TVServer setup and then add them back I can scan the M3u and tune the stations but if I rescan it on the same card it just keeps updating the 1 channel. My brain is melting.........

Having great fun with this still. I have a fairly good PC setup, Ryzen 5 8500g, Msi Pro 650M-P with 32GB of RAM with a TBS 6281 and...
