Error Message at MP Config after update to 1.6 (1 Viewer)

This is a broader problem than an upgrade to 1.6 as far as I can see. My guess is that it relates to a recent windows update that is preventing the install of the config options in mediaportal
I have been running 1.5 for about a month and working fine. However now I have issues configuring the client pc's. When I install MediaPortal 1.5 or 1.6 client only onto a windows 7 64 bit pc; the install fails at the LAV filter stage and then the configuration option crashes before he first screen and windows 7 closes it.
I have a server which I did a new install for running fine. I also have an older windows 8 client only install running fine. however on 2 different PC's and with both 1.5 and 1.6 I cannot get the mediaportal client to install any longer

Every so often, when I switch to a TV channel, my MP client stops accepting user inputs, either from the remote or keyboard/mouse...
.....it was also the culprit for me!!! Can't think why I've changed from LAVsplitter to MPurl ......:oops:

Just upgraded to 1.37 'Willow'.....and although TV is fine.....I'm unable to play video.
Error message points to Mpeg4IsoAvc or...

Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas what the problem might be. :(
