Been busy working on movingpictures support the last two days, the details view is now complete and I have modified the filmstrip view a little aswell as redoing the animations for the musicoveraly.. Only two more screens and the video osd/overlay to complete then MovingPictures support is complete!

Ill upload some screenshots later today, you can grab the new files from the source repo on the google projects page if you want to try it out before the next development release (Coming later this week, when MovingPictures is complete!).

In other news, today i'm rebuilding the HTPC, Logitech Harmony 900+Terratec Cinergy HD (DVB-C) is going to be added!

i was looking at the google page and i see the Supported Plugins (Planned) are :
Spotifier 0.3+
Moving Pictures 1.04+
TV-Series 2.5.1+
Infoservice 1.5+
myTV/TV-Server
myMusic
myVideos
Online Videos

jast wont to say you must add Support for My Traliers and RadioTime plugin they are a must plugin for MP,

and i thing you need to check the FanartHndler plugin too...

Ahh, I have forgot to change that first line.. It should read Supported Plugins (Release 0.6)!!

Those are the plugins that I feel are essential, at least for me so they have priority, but o/c more plugins will be supported for the 1.0 release! I will change that line now so it becomes more clear, I fully intend to add new plugins on a weekly/montly basis from release 1.0 and forward if the community want me to continue on it!

Nice Skin, I think this will be very promising. I love the fact that you will have sub-menus. That is a must have IMO. I can't wait to see how it comes along. Keep up the great work.

Are you "reinventing the wheel", or do you (re)use XML's from other 1080p-skins?

Are you "reinventing the wheel", or do you (re)use XML's from other 1080p-skins?

The source is mainly from Blue3W, but somethings are based on XML's from Maya and X-Factor. The things I have done so far is from Blue3W, I have used Maya and X-Factor XML's while testing things I have not completed myself, such as myMusic.

But apart from that most of the XML's are from Blue3W. Maya and X-Factor has been a great source of material to learn from.

Just in case you missed it: There is another up-to-date 1920x1080 skin: Black & White 1080p - MediaPortal Forum. Might be time-saving to use XML's from it. I think aj writes good XML's.

(Btw, the usage of p in 1080p in a skin description/name is rather daft IMO, as this has nothing to do with the skin itself )

Yeah, I'm zipping trough it atm. Always fun to read others code and see how they have done things and as you said; Reinventing the wheel is a little unnecessary.

Yeah, the main reason for using "Essence-1080p" instead of just "Essence" is that there was a googlecode project name conflict if I would have used Essence, so I just took the easy way and added the 1080p to it. But for the release of it will probably change to "Essence" or "Essence - A 1080p Skin" or something just as lame..
